Sounds like you're doing it right. It's a lot of work but make sure you get all the spots.

I agree with this. When you think there is one little spot, it is usually much bigger then what we see. Seen to many fox chassis stangs like that. If it really isn't that bad, definitely fix it right, but if that spot is really bad, i would check the whole chassis over before i would go any further. That's just me though. No matter how much you try to stop the rust, it will always come back.
Don't mean to sound like i am careless, or something. I just know what i would do if it where me in your situation.

Ya I forsure understand what u mean that's why I started this lol. But from what I see it's only that little spot and I'm gunna be sandblasting most of the car probably to make sure it's not gunna happen again for another 20 years hopefully lol.

If your car (mine in this case lol) has never been in the rain/snow and kept in a super dry heated garage I can assume rust will take forever to take hold. We have what is considered semi-arid type climate here so humidity is usually quite low.
