Sandblasting Question

I've got a '95 GT that I'm looking to touch up. I've been hesitating to sandblast the body because I'd be doing it in a ShelterLogic tent. I could easily secure the bottom ends but my main issue is that the front entrance does not close due to faulty zippers. I was wondering if there was anything I can do the minimize the leakage of the sand/ if there were any less hazardous types of sands I could use for the job (Frame, engine compartment) or if I should begin seeking a garage rental to do the work in?

Thanks in advanced.

Welcome, I'm no expert, but sounds like the right equipment would make all the difference, get the right facilities and you're further ahead. Less hazardous material, I think Princess Auto has like walnut shells, got to be less dangerous than sand, but anything at that level you'd need to have proper breathing protection. For your tent, get the doors secured and you'll be further ahead.
