Signal Light trouble

I have a 1992 Mustang LX 2.3 L 4 cyl. Have had a few problems but most are fixed now. Today I noticed that when I go to signal in either direction the dash signal light stays solid, not flashing as normal. I thought that maybe I had a burnt out light. I checked the front and rear signal lights and when I turn on the signal lights in both directions all the lights appear to work. Tried the hazard lights and they flash as they are supposed to. I am wondering if this could be trouble with the signal light switch? Any advice will be most welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Keith.

It is the flasher the 4 ways and the signals use seperate circuits I believe this is why they work and the signal dont replace the flasher or just give it a tap or too to veify that it is indeed toast.

It is weird. I replaced the flasher module on the fuse panel. The Hazard lights still work and I am still having the same trouble. I have no idea what to try next. Does anyone know it the front "side" marker lights are connected to the signal lights? Is there a fuse that might be the problem? The front signal lights on the inside of the headlamps light up as do both rear lamps when I turn the signal arm in both directions. The lights on the dash both light up too? I am at a loss.

The lights circled in red light up when I signal.

The lights circled in yellow do not. Are they supposed to? If the bulbs are burnt will this cause my trouble?

Really need some help LOL LOL.

Found the trouble. Also located the signal light flasher unit (behind the Glove Box). I really wish I was more mechanically inclined. Well that is one more problem fixed now waiting for the next one to crop up LOL
