SN95 (94 Conv) chassis flex?
SN95 (94 Conv) chassis flex?
Hey all,
Is the amount of flex that could be caused by jacking the car something you would be able to notice?
I'm wondering in what areas of the body/interior would you notice the flex in the chassis from lifting it up on jacks.
I'm asking because I got subframe connectors installed, and I'm noticing gaps in the interior and body that may or may have been there before, or are now bigger. The installation started on a drive on lift, then moved to a different lift (with the arms on the frame) for some finishing welds.
My concern is that somehow during the installation flex was induced into the frame and now it's "stuck" like that.
The areas I'm looking at, aside from the door gap, are: interior where dash meets center console/shifter, A pillars between dash and pillar trim, cowl where plastic cowl cover meets the fender. Are these even areas that could be affected by some unibody flex?
Thanks for your help,
Rob
