I thought immigrants had the work ethic to work for what you want and not have anyone hand it to you. Sorry, but if you get something handed to you for free you don't appreciate it anywhere near as much as you do when you're working for it. That's half the problem with Canadian society, why should anybody bother working when they can do nothing and have the government, or regular hard working folk, give it to them for free. Too bad for Bully Dawg, I'll bet there were some good pics and stories to go with 30 years and 50 projects. Maybe too bad for us, but old guys sometimes don't know how to take things posted in these forums, and make the mistake of taking it too serious, look at Fitzy as a prime example. If you take the internet serious, you're gonna have a bad time.

Well people I have been featured in several magazines and have been building cars for over 30 years. Also had a fair number of projects sponsored as well. I have recently bid on 2 sites to open my shop and am waiting on responses. Also I have been recently donated a 1966 coupe (Arizona car) for the build I have sponsorship applications out to, autometer baer, curry ,and richmond gear ect.

That's all well and good, but soliciting monetary assistance from private individuals is another matter. Offer them a compelling reason other than the chance at a quickly forgotten mention in a magazine, to not spend the money on their own rides ...

cheers

Sorry, I read that as cash donations or sponsorship, didn't know you were looking for parts. Good on you for coming back, post up some pics and lets get some stories about some of these projects. I'll bet there's one or two, did you do them back in the old country, which, good question, where's home for you originally?

Give us some idea of what direction you are taking with the build, what parts are need, that might help. Stock restoration, drag race theme, restomod, Pro-Touring / G-machine?

cheers
Ed

Never mind about where you call home originally, just looked at your profile, and looks like Racine, Wisconscin was a track you ran at, so I'm guessing you're American by birth. What brings you to the greatest country on the planet?
