My husband always buys the MM&FF magazine and we were talking today about the ads that Steeda runs on the back.

What would be a good combination to make our 99 handle better?

EiBach Pro Kit, Subframe Connectors, Tokico Shocks and Struts, CC Plates, Steeda Balljoint and a nice tower strut brace. :tup

I wouldn't touch Eibach, I have the Steeda sport springs.

You'll also need new end links, bumpsteer kit and bushings.

This really depends on what you are trying to do and, of course, your budget.

Do you want to autoslalom, go to lapping days, drag race or just get crisper responses on the street?

A good inexpensive upgrade for the street that will lower your car about an inch and firm up the ride is the Ford Bullitt upgrade (spings, shocks, struts and sway bars from the 2001 Bullitt).

Sub-frame connectors are a must no matter what you are going to do. I put the full length Steeda's on my 98 GT and could feel the difference as soon as I moved the car!!

Changes for more serious applications will, no doubt, spark lots of discussion. :)

I'm willing to spend what I need to make it look and handle better. Pay once, do it right.

If you truly want to do it right, then your options become somewhat more limited. I won't get into who makes the junk, but I'll tell you who makes the only stuff I put on my car. If it can handle roadracing, it'll handle anything you want to do. Definite number one though, the foundation for all the rest of the modifications, full length subframe connectors, welded under the car. DON'T get anything less than this as your "launching" point.

Understanding WHY the Mustang handles like it's riding on yogurt goes a long way to improving it properly. Seeing as it's an 03, I'd really urge you to do it right. And before you take a bunch of advice from somebody, check to see what they do with their car. If you want exceptional handling, don't ask a drag racer, and if you want a drag car, don't ask a corner carver. But by all means, research it first. I couldn't recommend HIGHLY enough to even pick up the phone and call Griggs or Maximum Motorsports and consult with them. Ask the pros......
