Steeda Tri-Ax
I just got my Steeda Tri-Ax today, purchased it new through one of the sellers on the Corral, the price just could not be beat (we are talking $191.00CDN to my door, including tax and shipping) and my God, this is the nicest looking shifter I have ever seen!
The quality of it is absolutely superb, and it does NOT have the traditional nylon bushing that my previous shifter, a MAC, and the Pro-50 have, which likes to wear out over time. I simply cannot get over how well made this thing is! I can post up some pics of it if anybody would care for me to, as it's not installed in the car yet (need to cut the trans tunnel for the T5 shifter location issue still) and I've just put the handle, and my stock shifter knob on it. This shifter is priced the same as the Pro-5.0, but after seeing the slop develop in the bushing in both my MAC, and then U-LOSE's Pro-5.0, I figured I'd try it instead. We'll see how it behaves in the car, but in terms of build-quality, I can't see it developing the same issue, as the nylon bushing seems purposefully lacking in it's design. |
Only hear good things about these.
Might have to try one someday. help with my slow shifting. |
Warren and I went to steeda in milton, ont. and I was playing with one. It was constructed like no other, no play, no BS!
I will be getting one in the near future, since my car is "not very user friendly 2nd to 3rd" |
hmmmm, maybe a group buy is in the near future???

Im up for that!!!!

Yes, they make a great shifter, I had one in my Bullitt and it was a great-quality unit. I have had Hurst before on a T5 (which I liked a lot), and a Pro-5.0 on a 3550 (pretty notchy, not one of my fav's), also had a B&M Ripper Pro on a T5 which I did not like at all, it was way too stiff and had to be removed to adjust, not a fan.

Bought one a few years ago......still have it and still love it...you won't be disappointed if you invest in one

Here are a few pics I took tonight comparing the Tri-Ax to my previous shifter, the MAC "Racers Choice":
