Subframe Connectors

I'm going to need subframes before I go racing so what is the best to get? They will be welded in. It's for a 97 Cobra.

Ponyryd 08-21-2006 03:12 PM

Just bought some, I got HPM, look pretty good, seat brackets already installed, just gotta weld 'em in once my car returns from being painted (was supposed to be done over a week ago). :pissed:

White97 08-21-2006 03:15 PM

How much and from where?

Ponyryd 08-21-2006 03:16 PM

Performance Club, I think they were $140.

White_Snake 08-21-2006 03:22 PM

doesnt bottlefed make them?
good price too..
he had a group buy on for them.

Ponyryd 08-21-2006 03:25 PM

^Yeah, he does but I don't think he makes the low-profile ones, only the tubular style, not sure though.

White97 08-21-2006 03:33 PM

I PM'd BOTTLEFED last month and got no response.

G-ForceJunkie 08-21-2006 04:36 PM

I've long been under the impression that MM makes them the best.

I have heard that too. Any idea how much the MM's run?

G-ForceJunkie 08-21-2006 08:41 PM

$120USD + shipping from MM directly for Full-Lengths.
"NOTE: Full Length Subframe Connectors always ship separately. Shipping cost for full length subframe connectors provided by on-line ordering may be inaccurate to some shipping destinations due to irregular size. You will be contacted with accurate shipping cost after your order is placed."

DaSilva and RCO are MM's Ontario dealers, obviously other vendors can source them though.

I keep seeing "excluding 96-98 Cobra"... what's different? The bottom looks the same as my V6 to me.

i bought 2 sets from jeff (bottlefed) and paid $50 per in the group buy, not sure what he'd charge you to set up all his equipment for just one set, i pm'd jeff and we talked back and forth and i picked them up from him personally, we arranged a time when it was convienent for me and i got them within a week of him making them, i could have picked them up the day he made them except that i was busy.

they are the "tubular" style, and are weld in, i'll take a pic of them tomarrow if i remember, and if jeff doesn't object, they are both hanging in my shed now with the 1st coat of paint on them, 2nd to be sprayed tomarrow night.

he sold a bunch of these last time around, if enough ppl are interested he might do another run if enough ppl want them, (talk to jeff though)

I think I'm going to go with the MM XLs.
