Hi guys,

I have a 1994 5.0, and have been having a bit of a tough time trying to find a mechanic that knows these cars. My local Ford dealer (DAMS) here in Surrey BC, wont service my car because as I was advised by their service department " we do not service cars that are older than 2003", I have tried to take it to another local well known shop here, Kaltire, because a co worker suggested it, and well I cant say I trust this particular shop as they "thought" they had an OBD 1 scanner, but turns out they didnt, and took them 2 days to tell me this, all the while keeping my care there for 2 days for no particular reason. The car has a check engine light that comes on after a while of driving. When the car is turned off, then on again, the Check engine light is gone, but comes back after a couple of minutes. I have neither the time or experience with this particular issue and really hope that someone here can either direct me to someone here in Cloverdale that really knows these cars, or is a mechanic that wants to make an extra couple of bucks and help me out.
