Never heard of them myself.

What are you getting done that a Canadian business cant do?

nlstang 12-09-2008 09:56 AM

I am having all the rebuild done here. Just looking at their cam and lifters. I am in an area where I have to order everything and they seem to be by far the best price on the spec cam I am looking for. If you have any recommendations here in Canada I would love to here them

If its custom work you could try Rolling Thunderz in Woodbridge. They build a ton of crazy setups :)

If it is out of the box stuff you are looking at, check with local vendors. There is no way the US is cheaper with the current exchange. What about Summit Racing even (again, beware of the exchange rate)?

I know after dealing with local shops, I stopped buying parts from them because their prices were not competitive. I've taken over 40k in business to summit for my cars and would lever look back.

Besides, you are in NFLD, shouldn't you be out skidooing

Oddly enough no snow yet... All rain. There is really only one speed shop here and they are pushing the E303 on me but they want $475 for the Cam and lifters and I still need thrust plate chain and some other hardware. That seems a little pricey to me, what do you think..

2tone 12-09-2008 03:42 PM

Man, I haven't bought a cam and had it installed in ages. I am sure I paid around $200 for a cam install a couple hundred for the cam itself when I did my one motor years ago.

I have never heard of any good stang shops in NL, only good hunting :p

What type of motor are you building and what are your goals?

nlstang 12-09-2008 07:30 PM

Well I have a roller block which is in good shape. Got my eye on a stroker kit but that may havev to wait till next year. My only real goal is a strong street motor that is reliable. Never hurts to get more horses..
