Tire + Rim Suggestions.
Afternoon,
I'm pretty much a complete n00b when it comes to tires so help is much appreciated. I'm looking at getting some Eagle F1, or Pirelli P Zero's. Eagle F1's 245/40R18 $245 CAD ~Front~ 275/40R18 $315 CAD ~Rear~ Pirelli P Zero's 225/40R18 $255 CAD ~Front~ 265/35R18 $325 CAD ~Rear~ They are basically the same price, but which one would yield better results? As for the rims, does anyone know where I can get Saleen Black Rims? I can't for the life of me find it anywhere. I'm looking for these: http://autosoundandperformance.com/i...heel%20new.jpg Thanks! |
Personally myself I really like the F1's they are a soft grippy tire with a sweet design!
I have nothing bad to say about the Perelli's. As for the rims are you looking for the real deals or knock offs? |
Real deals would be nice, but quality knock off's are fine. I can't exactly imagine the real ones being "in-expensive"

If you want staggered sizes, then I'd suggest 245/45/18 and 275/40/18, closer to the original tire rolling diameter. 245/40/18 is a size for the SN95 cars.
225/40/18 is too short and too narrow, 265/35/18 is too short, again, a size more suited for an SN95 car. Which Eagle F1 are you looking at specifically? There are a few versions of that tire. I had the F1 GS-D3 on my T-Bird Super Coupe, very nice street tire. Lots of grip wet or dry, with a smooth quiet ride. cheers Ed N. |
I have the F1s..I went through this earlier..I think my rears are 285/35s maybe..they really hook up ..great in rain but yoiu have to be a bit carful accelerating hard in rain..and are quite quiet and smooth riding..
Hope that helps.. Oh, really cool to lok at :) Grassy |
