Tough Decision
 

I'm looking to upgrade from my 08 GT/CS, I leased it under the assumption I wouldn't have it for more that 18 to 24 months. It'll be 12 months in May and I'm weighing my options.

With Challenger and Camaro having hit the market I was really hoping Ford would step up to the plate and increase base horsepower on the 2010 GT to compete. To my knowledge, it doesn't look like they've done so. When I pull up to a light I don't want some guy in a Maxima even thinking about it.

So here are my options, I'm wondering if you all would mind tossing in your opinions.

1 - Grab an '09 GT500

2 - Grab an '09 Roush Stage 3

3 - Grab a '10 Roush Stage 3

4 - Grab a '10 Camaro SS2

I love my Stang, but the price point for power on the Camaro is difficult to ignore. I think I could get into a Roush for close to the same price and from what I can gather from my Googles, the Roush handles better than the GT500.

What are your thoughts?

I heard that the 2011 Mustang (i think) is supposed to have the 5.0L back in.

I also heard that the 5.0L is in talk for returning to the mustang in 2011....

I am an F-body guy and would definitely go for the 2010 Camaro... however... with the way things are lately, I don't see the Camaro lasting longer than 2-3 yrs... (hopefully i'm wrong :))... I would go with the GT500 as it is more established being that the S197's have been around longer than the 2010 Camaro...

If you are true to the stang,then check out the deals on the current '08,and '9 SHelbys still left on some lots.They are being priced right i hear these days. :wink:
But if the new Camaro fancy's you,especially being reasonably priced to hp rating compared to Fords disappointment in the GT's hp rating to price.....then put your name on one of those.
But again,the new 2011 Mustang is supose to be promising,with the return of the 5.0L,dubbed Coyoty,with 400 hp n/a.Time will tell though.:confused:

If you like the twistys and a more aggressive look get the Roush. If you like to go fast in a straight line, get the Shelby :D

I only see three options, #1, #2 and #3. Any of these would be a sweet ride, but I personally think the Roush is a very sharp looking unit, but then again, from what I'm led to believe, the Shelby kicks the Roush's ass. That's a tough decision between the all 3 of them. (Please not the Camaro:banghead:)

09 GT500's are practically being given away in Ontario now.

I personally think the 2010 GT500's are hot. And I know of at least one dealer in Ontario (Erinwood) that said they will only be asking MSRP (not gouging).

I've also heard the rumor about the 5.0L for 2011 at about 400hp. I heard rumbling about the 6.2L from the Ford SVT Raptor truck as well but apparently that engine will be excluse to that truck and Super Duty's. The Mustang really does need a power upgrade to compete though other than the Shelby's and Roush's.
