traction control

Hello everybody, I have a question about turning off the traction control in 2012 GT. This used to be a rental so the traction control cannot be turned off using the consol button. Is there a procedure for programming one of the key fobs so that the button will work or is this something that needs to be done with a scanner.
Thanks for any input.

Might want to visit the dealership to see if it was programmed that way, or is the switch disconnected from the plug?
With aftermarket hand held tuners it can be programmed to be off.

I'm guessing the switch is unplugged, that's the first thing I'd check. If the car is under warranty just bring it to a dealer.

Thanks for the replies. Finally had time to look into it a bit more. One wire from the plug that goes into the traction control/hazard/ trunk lock switches was disconnected. Was able to figure out which hole it was from by the rub marks on the wires next to it. All is good now.
Thanks again.
