Trunk Gas Shocks: w/Conclusion
I just went to open my trunk yesterday (something I rarely do since I only open it to show off my stereo, no room for storage :P) and it fell right back down.
Are they weak because of the cold? Or has one/both just randomly failed? Where's the best place to get new ones? CT? Thanks guys. |
I'd try CT like you mentioned.
|
Yep, likely b/c of the cold. Never priced them for the newer models, but dealer would be my guess.
|
Canadian Tire sells them they are like $35 each.
|
Thanks everyone.
I'll probably put off replacing them till spring since I rarely open it anyways. |
Would it be the cold? I thought if anything the cold would make them stiffer?
either way, you can probobly buy a pair from CTC or any Ford dealership |

Good thread mine are dieing aswell :)

Went out an opened it up again yesterday, the driver's side one makes the "normal" sound, the passenger side one makes no sound at all, so I guess it's the dead one.

Ya, I'm not too sure... maybe the cold caused the old seals to harden up and crack and leak or something...
