V8 or Nothing

Hey guys,

As you can probably tell I am new to the site but I like it a lot and visit daily. I have a little thing that itches under my skin...

A V6 mustang..... why.... to be honest, mustangs don't have the nicest interiors, the rear wheel drive sucks in the winter, the single exhaust doesn't look as good as the dual, it sounds like crap, its slow and heavy...

I can't understand why someone would buy one to be honest? I bought my car cause it was an unbelieveable deal, I worked at the dealership at the time and maintance was affordable, and it has a kick A$$ V8 that can and has been tricked up a bit with more on the way.

I have nothing against the V6 er's, I just don't understand why people would buy one... if it wasn't for the V8, there are better cars to spend your money on?

Let me know what you think... am i alone?

Some people arent into big power Although there are some 6er's out there that would make short work of my V8,some people cant afford the V8,some cant afford the fuel LOL me for one j/k the important part is they love thier car which is a common interest everyone on this site has there's even 4cyl stang guys on here (another under rated car these things can fly with enough time and money)
So it all comes down to personal interest and taste.

i've got a modified v8 in my gt mustang, and a 4cyl turbo mustang made my look foolish at the trak,,, if the person enjoys the car thats all that matters...

My ProCharged 02 V6 is a blast to drive and has given a lot of the v8 Mustang owners a surprised look. Not saying mine is better, but the cost was less and it is neat having something different.

Sigh.

Take this from a guy with a 419rwhp Cobra and a 94 V6.... I love them both. The RWD is awesome in the winter, especially with posi (modified, obviously). It handles great, gets decent gas milage.

I honestly don't get why people have to bash different models of their cars. You don't see me saying your GT is puny and slow. It's a Mustang, just love the car and don't get into the V8 mentality.

IMO....if it wasn't for the millions of 4 banger and 6 banger stangs sold over the last 42+ years.....then we wouldn't have the V8 models to talk about....PERIODsmack:

Other than the SVO 4 banger its v-8 or bust. Same for the Firebird/Camaro/Trans-Am. You can mod a 6 absolutely but put the same mod on a 8 and well lights out. I'm a little older and the 8 was the motor and for me it will always be the motor. The 8 has a huge torque and to some degree a huge hp advantage over the smaller cylinder engines. Take the Rx-8 240hp and a whooping 138 lb/ft of torque. My Electrolux has more varoom varoom. Anyhoo Last thought, SOUND. It's like a heavy metal concert in a eight and the philharmonic concert in the 4-6 bangers. To each their own. thumb:

for me it was easy, i have a problem with my right foot, that being it causes alot of tickets. If i don't have the HP i don't get tickets. Also cheaper on fuel and cheaper on insurance. Something i need on my 35 minutes to work every morning. I wanted something nice that wasn't exactally a snail and i can still have some fun (albeit not as much as a v-8) in and still not break the bank.

My soon coming marriage and house i am purchasing is going to take the majority of my bank account here shortly so don't need the temptation to mod and go fast. I'd give my left nut to own a nice 03/04 cobra, but shortly thereafter i'd own my right to the MTO/OPP. AND it beats my cavalier i had before it :)
