Vibration?

I took my GT to the dealer yesterday to have a high speed (starts around 100kph) vibration checked out. I've had this since I picked it up but thought it might work itself out with a few miles on the tires. It's at 4000km now and still there so I took it in.They re-balanced the wheels but to little effect.

I did some research last night and found that this is a pretty common complaint for 2010 and up Mustangs with no specific cause or solution found. Some owners have done multiple wheel balances, tire and wheel swaps, drive shaft balances etc. but still have this problem. There is a growing view that the problem may be caused by the EPAS (Electric Power Assist Steering) system.

Anyway, I'm not sure how to proceed with this but do know that I want it fixed. I love my 'stang but this vibration is driving me crazy. Anybody else have this problem?

Had the same problem with my 2005 first six months I had it. Turn out to be a poor transmission assembly at the factory. Flat Rock was in such a rush to get them out the door in 05 that quality checks specifically making sure the torque converter bolts were properly secured to the transmission. Ford had to replace the transmission under warranty and the whole back end. Ask the dealer to check the transmission next time your are in.

I havent noticed any vibration in mine at all, and I have close to 8,000kms. Let us know if you get this one figured out.

No problems with mine but I don't got the new motor and trans so its probably limited to the 11+.

Thanks. I'm taking it back to the dealer next week to see what they want to do next. I know these problems can be difficult to resole sometimes and I will be patient but I need to get this fixed. I've got two other vehicles (Toyota and GMC) that are glass smooth at any speed so I don't see why a Ford can't be the same.

Good luck with this. Let us know what it turns out to be.

Fixed! The dealer arranged for a road force balance yesterday (don't have a machine in house) and the vibration is now gone. Smooth as butter except for a normal harshness from the Pirelli P Zeros. I'm a happy guy!

Good to hear.
I had a set of 20 inch pirelli`s road forced balanced and filled with nitrogen for my enovy, what an amazing difference.
Not a huge fan of pirelli`s, but they were new and i got an amzing deal on them.
