I've heard a Magnaflow system on a V6 and it sounded good. The Flowmaster system doesn't seem to sound right on it.

Someone on here just put a Mach 1 exhaust on a 6 cyl. Do a search, I think he has pics and write up. Good luck with whatever you choose.

No sound clip but yeah I did that.

I wanted oh-so-badly-to replace the single straw exhaust pipe.
I went to DaSilva's and low and behold a stock Mach exhaust was avail.
Ok, WTF, sounds better than what was original.
I do know it sounds / breathes better than it did but I am NEVER behind my V6 when I am driving it to know how it sounds fully.

There seems to be a great sound @ around 2400 - 2500 rpm.

So now I have a Mach and a mini-Mach exhaust system Mustang.

Tho, to be VERY honest, I rarely turn on my radio in my V6 when I drive it now...

I think it was a good idea what you did, the guy was looking for examples and I remember reading what you had done. Of course it does not have to be a mach exhaust it could be a gt one. Anyway looks like the poster has not been around in a bit. Peace.

Cool.

I know two ppl that are selling their stock GT exhaust. Post 2000 Mustangs so it won't work for the poster of this thread.

I originally was going to buy one of the stock GT's exhaust.
I think it is a great starting point, getting a stock GT exhaust for the V6.

do you think a 5.0 exhaust would sound good on my 3.8 cuz my cousin had a 95 5.0 but he wrecked it but he still had his stock exhaust and he gave it to me. let me know wut you guys think.

I had a 99 v6 before and I put on 96up GT takeoff exhaust on my car with 40 series 2 chamber flowmaster mufflers and the car sounded awesome and pretty loud. I wouldnt suggest anything else than that for a v6, its cheap and does the job great. I heard a v6 with a mac catback and it didnt sound as good.

I had my v6 done at PSP, Paul did a great job on my car and for a great price.
