What oil filter?

About to change the oil in my Fox and the oil in my buddy's 01, what's the best filter around?

I have heard and somewhere on this www thier was or is a site that did all sorts of filter testing. Wix came out first but can not find one. An alternative is a NAPA GOLD filter, apperantly they are made by WIX just rebranded. The Ford filters held up great. Fram failed terribly. I will try and find the link for you. good luck. :tup

found it: http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilterstudy.html Not sure how legit all that info is, but someone once told me whatever I read on the internet is true.:) Peace.

Its easy, go buy a Ford Motocraft filter and be done with it.

"Good oil filters - K & N, SuperTech(Wal-mart), Casite, Napa Gold, Mobil 1,
Motorcraft, Purolator, Wix"
- from a pretty reliable source.

i have used fram oil filters in the past, but not the regular ones, get the double gaurd or what ever they are called if you go with fram.
when i change my oil i like to get the best because that is the heart of you vehicle.

G-ForceJunkie Jun 4, 2005 05:10 PM

if you want the best then you definetly don't want fram! (double guard or not)

SNAKETAMER Jun 4, 2005 09:25 PM
