How long do you think you would get out of a set of new ET streets if it was a dailey driver in the spring/summer/fall?

Safe/unsafe?

Running ET streets in a daily driver is not a good idea. It's basically a drag tire with the smallest of grooves so it's legal to run it DOT classes at the track. They'd be decent in dry weather but would be very dangerous if you ran into some wet weather. They wouldn't last too long either. If you're set on a drag compound tire for the street a Nitto would be your best bet. It's also not legal to mix and match bias ply and radial tires on the street.

Cool, I was not sure about the Et streets. Thanks.

I use Nittos as my daily drivers now and they are great.

Well I have a couple set of tires for the car depending on use

Daily Driving 17" rims with 245/55/17 Goodyear Eagle F1 Hockey pucks.

Track are bigs and skinnies. 165/50/15 bias ply front and 15X11.5 ET streets Rear

I am considering replacing the radials for daily driving with a set of MT Drag Radials.

A bit of everything. Currently the car is wearing a set of 28x10.50 ET Drags but I also have a second set of Welds with either 28x11.50 Hoosier QTP's or 325 50 15 BFG drag radials. I'm thinking of selling both the Hoosiers and the BFGs for a set of 325 50 15 MT radials for this year.

I've had just about every type of sticky tire out back at one point or another, the MT radials are the only ones I haven't tried, and I know they'll work insane.

ET Street's Rock on the IRS!
Nitto's work amazing on the Solid!

For me it's usually Michelin Pilot Sports up front, M/T ET Streets out back on ponies, but I have a set of Pirelli P8000's for street tire fun. Nothing spectacular, but they're okay.

I love these tires...I hope they hook up.

Those things look massive!

I'm in the market for some new tires this spring. There's too many damn options.

for last 2.5 years I got ET Streets as regular daily tire and all I can say if u learn to live with them adjust ur driving u will be fine...i have them on because i drive the car to the track very often and hate changing tires and i also hate fearing other cars due to traction loss...the only thing so far that stayed with me off the line on the street was a 454 Laguna on spray and a 30x13.5" ET Street :D

in rain stay off highways and take it easy they r better in rain than my goodyears were in snow :dunno

i also get almost 2 seasons out of a new set of ET Streets...

i also had ET Street Radials that is probably by far the best drag radial out there...will also outlast both Nittos and BFGs

I run a few tire setups.
I have 28/11.5 ET streets 28/10.5 ET drags for the track
On the street i do run the the ETs now and then.

I run cooper Gts on the street and there not a great tire but there cheap and last longer then few other brands.
