Where do you buy your upgrades from?

Just curious where everyone is buying their upgrades from. I like to support the Canadian retailers when possible, I've used themustangshop.ca and bodykit.ca but can't seem to find many others. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Mike

I like AM. I bought my tuner from them and an x-pipe. I'll check out some of the others. I've seen steeda.ca too but they just don't seem to have the pricing or what I'm looking for

Ronnie06GT 01-10-2013 05:33 PM

I have always gotten excellent pricing and service from AM, The Mustang Shop and Steeda.ca

American muscle all the way! When it comes to spending dollars, well the Canadian market doesnt even want to try to compete:wiggle:

I have to agree American Muscle for me quick shipping and no hassles .

def67 01-10-2013 05:54 PM

I used AM for my rims and they were very good, I agree about steeda not seeming to have what you're looking for, I think maybe there website could just use some work.

I'd rather support the Canadian company's too, but unless they bring their prices inline with the US or offer free shipping it cheaper using the US companies. Don't really understand why I can have a part shipped from Florida for $20 & it costs $30 to ship from Alberta. I use Brenspeed or 281 Motorsports.

Same here along with a local speedshop, Performance Unlimited.

Steeda.CA
American Muscle
Late Model Restoration
Saleen

That pretty much it, for the most part anyways. I use a few other companies for custom fabrication.

American Muscle, some of the best service out there.

Absolutely! I use American Muscle, and I think they have the best customer service around! And the shipping is very reasonable.

I've bought a couple of items from CJ Pony parts and like them just fine. In fact my JLT Oil Separator arrived today. They have free shipping to Canada deals on a regular basis which saves a nice chunk of change over AM. Prices are competative on all parts I've looked at.

AM is likely where I will get my wheels and maybe window louvers.

Greg, better check on shipping. It says they dont ship wheels to Canada. Unless you have somewhere across the border to send them to and pick them up.

milner_7 01-18-2013 12:22 PM

AM is excellent. They were great on the phone with me. Very good to deal with.

I have called them regarding the wheels, tho the shipping is expensive @ $200 they do ship to here.

Thats good to know. I have my eye on a staggered set of GT500's from them.

Sean Hyland Motorsports is another one I forgot about. No experience with them but they are in London Ontario I believe. I'll have to check out CJ's too

STEEDA.CA for me.

Bought most of my stuff from American Muscle...i like the up front costs of duties and shipping, very reasonable. Never had issues.

For all my suspension stuff, bought from Steeda.ca. (A note that the last time i bought some parts, for some reason, some of the parts were initially missing upon delivery...don't know if box got ripped during shipping or packing just wasn't as good as it shoulda been. Called fedex and they found the missing parts sitting on the floor in their local warehouse. I contacted steeda immediately when i realized parts were missing that should have been in the boxes and they basically said to fill out all the paperwork yourself with fedex. Fedex tracking told me it's best for the shipper to do the paperwork. That episode left me with a somewhat bad taste). My take was the packing wasn't as good as it shoulda been from steeda....i'd reiterate this with them if ordering from them again.

I don't know why we always get the short end of the stick when it comes to shipping. great info here though.
