Who services their Pony at the Ford dealership?

I will pay the extra and do all the servicing at the dealership. I feel better when I know Ford techs are uner the hood/car.:tup

PUFF might better take it to CTC!!!
A human is human, either way it could be a unexperienced kid under there aswell!

You have the time to wax, you should do your own work too :tup

I only do my own work! that way I know its not hack and its done right! The only time the car goes in and thats for a oil change!
But if im talking about the Mustang I will do its oil but no other since oil changes are so cheep you cant beat a $30.00 oil change at Walmart plus they grease all fittings and top up fluids! all for $30.00 cant beat it!!!

The last time I had the pony at a dealership for service another customer backed their vehicle into the right side of the rear bumper (angle parking). I was not impressed although the dealer did repair and repaint the bumper. Since then I am a little leary of going to dealerships.

Ours has only ever been serviced once cause its such low mileage but it got done at the dealer with a strict set of instructions of course. It was to be driven in, the oil changed and driven out. No need for their stupid road test and 1000 point inspection on a brand new car.

I've only had mine in the dealership once since I got it. When I dropped it off I instructed the service rep on the do's and don'ts. I got him to come out and do a walk around to verify that there were no scratches or marks. He kind of looked funny at me first but after I talked to him it was all good. I will be bringing it in for oil & filter when the weather breaks. We got hit with 25 cm of snow last night so it won't be any time soon.

After the warranty was up,i started doing it myself.
The only reason i had it done at the dealer during the warranty period,is for the security that if something happened,or if i had issues,it was on record that they serviced her,and have checked her over everytime.

I do the same walk around when I drop off/pickup. There can be no arguements in the event of a scratch/ding:tup

Personally, if we're talking regular maint., I do it myself...Maybe I'm just over-cautious (paranoid maybe), but I've always wondered if the shop actually uses the Mobil1 Sythentic when I ask for that, or if they use some cheap bargain brand, and tell me they used Mobil1? :dunno
