Will a GT H-pipe fit V6
 

I am wondering if a GT H-pipe from catalytic converters back will fit a V6. Can I reuse my Stock V6 Muffler and only need one muffler and over axle pipe? What difference can I expect? The Gt and My V6 are both 2008. My V6 is completely stock at this point. I have some mechanical skills but am not a real mechanic.

Anything can be done with a welder,and a set of torches when it comes to metal,but as a straight bolt in,not likely.

I know there was a company that made an aftermarket y pipe to bolt up a GT catback for the 99-04 cars. Maybe they are still around and have a similar pipe for 05 and up.

I'm wondering why bother - sounds like more trouble and cash than it's worth, unless that's the look you want. Not only would you have to screw around with the exhaust pipework, you would need to change out the rear bumper cover - or fire up the Sawz-all. I'm pretty sure it's been done by someone on here - good luck with it either way.

Bumper cover, two mufflers and pipe work for $600+ US.

Throw in shipping and duty/taxes and you're likely closer to $1000 CDN by the time you're done I'm guessing, not to mention the cost of having the bumper cover base/cleared to match body color. ($500 at most????)

Save a few bucks by doing the installation yourself, but is it worth dropping that kind of cash? Ah yes - the eternal question for anybody who spends dollars on modifications! ha ha ha ha

Right you are, but even worse - why would you risk doing that sort of bodywork/modification on a brand new car when you could just put on the new cover. A modified bumper cover will look exactly like what it is - a modified bumper cover = redneck mod with a Sawzall.

The Ford Racing site has the same kit ,same stock code number, for $700 US, and another kit for $1000 US with the bumper cover, but different mufflers. (Bullitt mufflers)

The cost of the project just jumped from $1500 CDN to at least $2000 CDN. Still think it's worth the cash?

Sounds like alot of money for sure. Could just hang a second muffler and make it look like duals. lol.
