Hi All,

Thanks for the input. Well I went ahead and installed the WMS High Velocity Intake
2 weeks ago. Impressive results. No flash required and very noticeable HP gains, torque too. And if I can keep my foot off the gas I should better my normal 37 MPG on the highway.

Best of all it has evened out the power band, there is now a smooth curve up no plateauing around 4000 rm. as before.

The install was a bit of a pain, cutting and modifying coolant pipes etc. The scariest was cutting and extending the mass air wiring harness.

Next on the list is a SCT Tuner with some custom tunes for the V6.

Cheers

Congrats!!Any picks of the install?:D

Darn ... I wish I read this a few years back. Like many, I had the option of a cool looking plastic one or a really cool looking chrome one ..... I went with chrome. And your right, I have felt it before and its been beyond boiling. Ohh well, at least it looks cool. Next time I'll know.

Some like the bling, and some the functionality. All a matter of opinion.I like the functionality over bling. :D

No actual shots as we did the install.
Here are a few photos in a gallery that may be of interest.
Shot No6 shows some of the necessary mods to the coolant pipes and the extended mass air harness.
