A American Visiting Canada

Well, first allow me to introduce myself. My name is Anton, I'm 27 years old from Sacramento, California and I currently reside in New Jersey.

For the last couple of years my best friend and I have been talking about taking a road trip up to Toronto with a stop in Niagara Falls along the way. We both own 2013 Mustang GT's in Deep Impact Blue (he had his first, I wasn't trying to buy the same exact car, but it just happened) and we like to take them on random adventures.

In April, we will be finally putting that drive to action. Pasing through Pennsylvania and New York State before making a stop in Niagara Falls. Since the Falls are literally right after the border checkpoint, we were going to stay the night there, spend the morning getting pictures, eat breakfast and then head to Toronto. We'll be staying in Toronto for about 3-4 days before heading home.

That being said, I have a few questions to ask.

1. Have any of you ever driven your Mustangs to NYC? If so, what route did you take?

2. Are there any places in the GTA that you recommend us taking the cars that would be a great place to get pictures.

3. The plan is to be in Toronto around the 15th of April. Do you guys have a meet or cruise that weekend, if so, can we join in?

Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated. And if you're ever in the New York, Jersey, Philly area, we will gladly return the hospitality.

Thanks!

Come to British Columbia. The drive is a bit of a stretch but you would enjoy it here.

I've heard British Columbia has some amazing scenery. Perhaps I'll be able to visit when I'm back on the west coast.

Welcome aboard, I'm a little too far west to give you any advice but one of our Ontario members should be able to give you some info.

Hands down best scenery I have ever seen in my travels is the Banff and Jasper areas.

Don't bring your hand guns. Canada Customs gets a little hot about that. :D

That is true. Just after 2000 the railway company that I worked for hired an executive vice-president from Alabama. The railway police had to go up to his corporate offices in Winnipeg and relieve him of his arsenal. ROFL.

Welcome aboard Anton!

I'm about 4-5 hours east of Toronto in Ottawa, so hopefully some GTA area members will be able to help more than me.

One warning, last time I was in Niagara Falls, the scenic road right along the Falls on the Canadian side is mostly no stopping areas. You'll have to park in one of the lots to get an up close look at the falls.

The Falls are lit up at night (see Niagara Falls Illumination for details).

It's been a while since I've been to Toronto, so can't help much there.

Have fun in Canada!

Oh, and nothing wrong with Deep Impact Blue Mustangs.
