Blue 1995 Mustang GTS

I have a Brilliant Blue 1995 Mustang GTS, that I am the original owner of. I have had it since it was new (had 1.3kms on it when I got it).

The 1995 Mustang GTS is a limited edition of the Mustang GT. It is sometimes called a "GT Sport". Picture the most stripped Mustang, cloth interior, manual windows, no air condtioning, AM/FM radio (no tape or CD), but with the 5.0L V8 with the 5 speed standard transmission. What you have is a car with great potential. It weighs a lot less then other Mustangs because of not having all of the options. And it has the "right" engine and transmission for a good high performance car.

The car was my daily driver (commuting car) from purchase until the spring of 2003 when I decided to get another daily driver and semi-retire the stang. Now it is stored all winter and no longer driven in any bad weather at all. The car is basically my toy car now.

However, the car is starting to show its age. Some small rust is starting. The paint is chipped in a few places and has small scratches in many more places. Yes, the car is worn (over 200,000km). However, I really like the car and am starting to restore it and do some performance enhancements as well. Because it is only driven a little now, I intend upon getting it in top running order and keeping it there.

All suggestions and comments are welcome.

Welcome to CMOC.
might want to take it to a body shop, to see if they can repair the rusting areas.

Thanks for the welcoming comments. And yes, my car will see a body shop sooner then later. For now, is is kept in my garage and under a car cover when not in use. So the little bubbles of rust have not advanced since I semi-retired it.

As from the pics to me, it doesn't look any different then an ordinary GT. What is so different about it?

Looks nice and clean thou.

its a "stripper car" has absolutely no options, even some standard equipment stuff was deleted from the factory. its comparable to the fox's that were strippers, they had no options what so ever. These cars come like this too be lighter for drag racing. YOu just had to know the right checks to tick off on your new car order form.
