New here, need some help with my car.92 stang 24 lb injectors bcam longtubes with cats.maybe a chip?

Can you start over and use full sentences and explain your emission problem?

Are you asking about using an aftermarket "chip"

Thinking about sct chip, car fails curb idle test everytime, runs way rich

07procharger 02-12-2015 11:38 AM

can you post up ALL of your mods and what tune you are currently running?

Untouched a9p computer

Can you tell us what part of the test is either not ready or failing?

lungbutter333 02-12-2015 03:46 PM

Not taking it for a test til may, always tests high on the hydrocarbons.read some articles online about the 02 sensors not getting warm enough.just wondering if a chip with a tune might help. Ì"ll post the readings come spring

I ask because I just had a fail first time on mine in that the SCT tune cut out the O2 sensors and they weren't reporting. Taking her back to stock cured that and she passed.

lungbutter333 02-12-2015 06:54 PM

Thanks, guess I am just gonna call one of the techs before I buy a chip

What's the timing at? Have you backed off the fuel pressure? You need to fine tune the timing (spark), and fuel.
B cam is an enemy to the etest .

07procharger 02-13-2015 09:33 AM

how old are your O2 sensors? If you are rich it may be because your o2 sensors are telling the computer you need more fuel when you really don't.

I don't know what a B cam is but I wouldn't think it would cause a rich situation. Your timing would be a good thing to know as well.

Are they stock cats or MAC aftermarket?

lungbutter333 02-13-2015 11:38 AM

O2 sensors are new, timing is stock, fuel pressure is at 38lbs.tried once before retarding timimg and turning down thefuel pressure even put in the 19lb injectors with stock maf.still way over
