:D Best Day ever! Finally got my first Mustang GT, its a 2003 silver with only 100,000 kms on it, unfortunetly it is an Auto, but it worked out cause the Auto had turned off so many other buyers I got this car for a steal of a deal at only 6900 ;) So happy!:chacha: Loooots of Mods to come :)

Can't Decide between the Black Saleens combined with a smoked lights and black trimmed looked or the sweet chrome!

1low03gt 10-21-2012 07:51 PM

Congrats, and welcome to the silver family.

The one with the black saleens is part of the silvermustangs.com.
Tanner, the guy's name.... has gone threw almost every style of rim you can think of for our style of stang LOL!
What ever one you go with, definitely go 18's. :tup

xGHOSTx 10-21-2012 10:34 PM

Silver all the way! :D Yea I totally agree, 18's are the way to go, im thinking 18x9 Matte Saleen's in the front and 18x10 in the back. I wanna lower it either 1.5" both front and back, or I was thinking a little different and 1.5" in the front and 1" in the back for a kinda of staggered look.

def67 10-21-2012 11:09 PM

I like the chrome saleens the best. The black looks great though as 1low03 has proved. Saleens either way!

ChadStang 10-21-2012 11:22 PM

My vote is black Saleen's

xGHOSTx 10-21-2012 11:27 PM

There both so nice, I think the Chrome is more "good looking" where as the black is more mean and aggressive. I need a new set of tires too LOL, dunno what goes well with the 18x9, 18x10, and a set of 1.5" Lowering springs. Don't wanna rub :/

herbz 10-22-2012 08:51 AM

My vote is chrome Saleen's. Both cars look sick though.

digger56 10-22-2012 08:55 AM

congrats on your purchase:tup Remember modding can be addictive and fun:D

Red Pony 10-22-2012 11:38 AM

Congrats! Sounds like you got a great deal...and nothing wrong with an automatic....just ask Chris Cruiz.

I'm a fan of chrome but that silver is such a beauty the black would look great..and then add the chin spoiler...and then a blackout panel for the rear plate frame....oh...and then fill in the rear bumper Mustang lettering with black....ooops, sorry got carried away there. :D Modding is sooo much fun! Definitely the 18's.

xGHOSTx 10-22-2012 02:35 PM

I'm assuming Chris cruiz is a member here! I would like to get in touch with him for some automatic mods! And haha! Red Pony you pretty much said all the exterior mods I want! Minus the black GT fuel floor, shortly antennae and some smoked out....everything! :D love mods!

Red Pony 10-22-2012 07:02 PM

"smoked out everything" ...sounds like a great plan!! Can't wait to see the progress pics.

Chris Cruiz....no, don't know the guy. Just read about him in the Mustangs & Fast Ford magazine.

From my expirience, go with the 1.5".
Over the years my front inner wheel wells are rashed up from tire rub, my k member has a few dings from large sized rocks or debris on the road, the k member brace is dinged up a tad, and rashed up pretty good aswell from certain speed bumps, ects..., same goes for my exhaust!! And all that is being careful as much as possible. :banghead:
It's a good thing i don't drive my daily lol, my stang's under carriage would be destroyed in no time!

Oh God! That sounds horrible! :frown: Mines my daily driver, and I do lots of late night snack shopping lol, so lots of speed bumps, even if I go over slow I would never want to scratch it up! Is it gaurenteed to scratch at 1.5" lowered? And Red Pony! I will post lots of pics :)

1low03gt 10-23-2012 09:07 PM

At 1.5" you will be safe, my GT is riding one the 2.0" Eibach "Sportlines", which i think is sitting a little lower then the 2.0" drop LOL! I drive my GT very careful in town, or on back roads, but it still doesn't stop the bottom carriage scrapes!!!:banghead:

Styrofoam04 10-24-2012 12:44 PM

Nice find! I got my '01 GT recently for $7k as well. No one in Kitchener wanted it. So I picked it up and brought it to Toronto!

If you start a mod thread let me know I'd love to follow your progress.

As for rims I'm partial to Chrome. Cant wait 'till the spring and get some Chrome!

Ray Spencer 10-24-2012 08:49 PM

Nothing wrong with an automatic...you can still drive and control the Mustang regardless of what some people think. Congrats on your purchase.
