First Time Mustang Owner

Hi - Just joined the forums & hoping to meet other first time Mustang owners, as well as all other owners.

I've just ordered my Mustang yesterday & hoping to have in September sometime. I'm quite excited about owning my own Mustang & can't wait until I finally get it. :D

I plan on storing mine in my garage for the winter. Any tips/advice anyone might have would be greatly appreciated. :)

Welcome to the club, congrats on the order of your first Mustang, very exciting time.

I'm guessing you're getting a 2017? What trim level and options did you order? Colour?

Welcome, we need more details! As far as storing it there are several opinions and here are mine.

First thing I do is wash and detail the car. A coat of wax is a good idea as well.

Change the oil and do all the stuff that goes along with it like top up fluids, adjust tire pressures etc.

A battery tender in my opinion is a must. It'll extend the life of your battery and keep the battery charged. I've found that if you disconnect the battery or it goes dead for any period of time it tends to mess up the sequencing for the window drop when opening the doors. They then need to be relearned.

If your garage isn't heated a full tank of fuel is a good idea as it allows for less condensation. Mine is heated so I keep the tank fairly low so I can top it with fresh fuel in the spring. No matter which way you go make sure you add some Stabil to the tank and run the car for a few minutes as it will prolong the life of the fuel.

The last thing I like to do is put a car cover on it. It keeps the dust and grime off the car.

Once the car is parked I leave it alone till spring. Some people like to start them periodically but the research I've done seems to show that there is condensation build up in the oil when doing this which is probably worse than letting it sit.
