Greetings to all from Winterpeg
Good morning. I have to get up in a few hours, but thought I would greet you before I shut down my laptop.
I was in the dealership on Wilson Ave in Downsview, when my 1966 was ordered new by my Uncle, but it did not become mine for a few years after that. It is not yet ready for prime time. I also had a bunch of fox-body Mustangs, but sold all by my current 1985 5.0 5 speed Capri. I love to tinker, and celebrate fine old cars more than the ones in the new car showroom. Is a Capri too foreign to fit in with everyone else's Mustangs? Sincerely, David |
Capri's are more than welcome! Welcome to CMOC, lets see a pic of the project mustang and the Capri!

Welcome indeed, and for sure Capri's are welcome. Heck I wish I had something close to a Mustang/Capri right now. Anyway, enjoy your stay! :tup

Thanks for the support. Some local folks are getting a bit picky about cars that are not Mustangs. Do any of you go the IMM when it is nearby? We just got back from Bozeman a week ago. It was fun. A year ago, we had the IMM in Winnipeg. We actually had 3 silver Capris in a row!

Welcome aboard, Capri's are most certainly welcome.

I love capris! Miss my 85. Welcome aboard.

I am President of my local club, and we were first to arrive at a 'road house' an hour's drive from town. My wife arranges our tours and meeting venues. My yard may be a bit messy, but has fewer cool antiques than the thousands at this place.

Thanks for the vote of support, Tony. Some of the others have been sort of mean about my Capri not being a Mustang. Like the 1960s Cougars, Fox-Capris are just Mercury's re-badged, differently-decorated Mustangs. I could have kept a couple of my 80s Mustangs, instead of selling them all in the 1990s, but I felt the Capri would always be more unusual. Plus I liked the styling of the Capris which Ford raced in SCCA's TransAm.

I had the Mercury equiv of an Escort GT, an 86 Lynx XR3, lowered, all blacked out, I loved that car back then, was like a go cart.
