Greetings from Ottawa

In June last year I traded my supercharged Challenger R/T for a 2017 Mustang GT (dressed in Lightning Blue) with performance package. This is my first Mustang, and now I know what all the fuss is about!

Congrats, now you need a supercharger for the Mustang!

Welcome to CMOC, love to see some pics.

Thanks for the welcomes and congratulations. I'm not considering a supercharger for the GT; even naturally aspirated, it feels peppier than the R/T (even though the R/T had a 70 h.p. and 100 ft-lb torque advantage with the supercharger). And I'm not sure I'd know what to do with the extra horsepower; 435 seems to be more than enough for getting into mischief! Just think - it's got ten more horsepower than the original modern iteration of the Challenger, the 2008 SRT .

I was thinking of upping the decibels a bit with either a Borla Touring or Magnaflow Street cat-back, but when I hear the sound comparisons on Youtube I shake my head and think. "Dang, those factory pipes sound pretty alpha-male." If I do swap cat-backs, it will likely be for the improved performance (less weight, more flow) as much as for the sound.

I have a pic of the GT on my Facebook page; I'll try to import it here, but I'm not very tech savvy.

Love those Brembos.

Looks like I managed to import the picture to my avatar.

Check out Roush as well. Their axle back is pretty reasonably priced and sounds great.

ChadStang: I agree, the Roush axle-back sounds great, and if I go with that instead of a cat-back, Roush will be my choice. I'm thinking cat-back because you lose about 30 lbs. weight and get better flow. On the other hand, the axle-back is easier on the wallet. Something to ponder over these dreary winter months.

Apocalypse Pony: Thanks for "upsizing" my GT's picture. How did you do that? Did you use a magic wand? (Like I said, I'm not tech savvy; in fact, I bought a computer and got on the Internet only a couple of months ago - no, really.)
