Hello from Ken - Port Alberni

Yesterday purchased a 2017 Black Fastback from Dennis at Family Ford in Parksville. Received a very fair trade-in price on the 2015 Jeep Wrangler and drove out with the 2.3 L , 310 ?? HP 6 speed auto. Dennis gave me a full tank so drove home then up to Campbell River today to let two of my three sons take it for a burn plus the 19 year old Grandson who is rebuilding a 300 hp motor in his Mazda Meita . I set the trip meter back to zero the day before after the Ford fill-up. Came back into the Valley and immediately filled at Co-op to the top. Tank was showing 1/2 fuel level and it took 32.82 L which is 7.22 Imperial Gallons. Trip meter showed 427 km for the past two days on this tank, which is 265 miles. Simple math of gallons into the miles resulted in 36.7 MPG. WOW new tight motor . Ran 100 kph up and back with the
family giving it a good run., After 4000 km and full Mobile 1 syn I expect 40 mpg on the highway. Window sticker shows 29MPH highway. I must have got a Magic Monday car. Have had my share of cars and trucks plus 20 motorcycles in my 73 years. No mistake on the mileage. Great Cruise Control size and location.
This car is sweet. Very nice seats. Great and simple layout of all dash and steering wheel controls. Shifts very nice in D , plus going down to Sport for the ride West up the Hump into Port Alberni really makes a difference. So far give it a 9/10 and a good size trunk to boot. Smaller grandchildren ( got 8 ) were in the rear seat for some of the kid's driving and did not complain. They were not designed for adults. My 13 lb terrier will really like the rear seat ( although he likes a opening rear window).
Now looking for a good price on Weather Tech floor mats (front), trunk mat, window rain guards ( inside). Then my 5th set of seatcovers from Northwest in Vancouver, but at this time not sure they make for the 2017 Pony Car. OK time to watch the taped Seahawk Game today.

It's not near as remote as it looks on a map. It's only 2 1/2 hour drive to Edmonton and all of the roads are paved (aside from some range roads)
