Hi everyone.

I am a little out of my comfort zone here as I have just purchased my first Ford product.

Having been around for half a century,I can honestly say my friends and family are a bit worried about my sudden purchase.

The bottom line is I absolutely love this car,and it is probably the plainest looking car I have ever owned.

I am really looking forward to making it into the look that I so remember as a young boy when the 70's mustangs were every kids dream.

This may tell some of you more than I see. It was in the glove box.

My plans are for a short throw hurst shifter (soon) axle back, 4" tip, exhaust( Borla seems to be peoples choice,my age) and then start the body mods.

I like the functional shaker kit for sure, and I have a few ideas in my head as to how I will clone it into a MACH 7,with the 7 looking very much like a 1 until you look close.

I would have liked to do it like a boss, but with Ford reintroducing the 302,I best leave that alone.

I really like this car.

Sorry for the long intro, I love Canada, and this car,so this forum should be a great fit.

Sincerely,Lorne.

Thanks guys, lots of youngsters here for sure.

As I said I am jumping the fence, and I just cannot say enough about how well this car fits my wife and I at this stage of of our life.

Of course the Shelby is ,and will always be top shelf, but bang for your buck, these GT's really deliver.

A few from the past. I was once young.

I promise you all I will not hurt your eyes anymore with those black GM's.

Now you see why everyone who knows me is worried.

1) It is white

2) A Ford? They think I have lost my final marble around here.

Looking forward to learning all about these Mustang's.

Lorne.

Welcome, I like your plans as well. You're only limited by your imagination with the s197's, so have fun with it.

I agree 100% with you Ronnie. I have seen the term s197's and don't know what it means. Are those the 05 -09 model years?

If you have a Corvette or Camaro,it seems any personal touches quickly devalue them.

These Pony cars are like works of art when done properly.

It is like Ford knew how far to go,and then left the room for the kids to make them however they choose.

Forgive me for acting like a kid,you guys have seen this stuff for years, but I have only had the car a month.

A few that I found online in various places that I really like.

Welcome and conrats, you made a great choice. The white looks great and it's an open canvas to do whatever you like with it. It looks nice and clean. If I can make a suggestion consider removing the plastic strips on the doors. I find the doors looks much cleaner and uncluttered without them.
