Hello from Nova Scotia

I used to be one of those poor high school kids standing in front of the Dairy Queen watching the kids who had money drive back and forth in their hopped up mustangs, cameros, el caminos, firebirds, dusters, etc..I used to love the sound of their sidepipes..

Anyway, push ahead a bunch of years and I was involved in an accident that has left me (invisibly) disabled. I had to sell both my british cars (one was very rare) and my bike. It is a bit of a long story but to make it short..my wife felt really bad for me so she went out last year and bought me a Mustang 'GT Coupe. I really wanted sidepipes so we put them on. Darn, they sound goooood...it is like being beamed back 33 years..I also put on a cold air kit plus sequential rear lights. I also have the blue led interior lights. We also joined the Nova Scotia Mustanf Club.

I also take pictures in my spare time. I am not sure how to do it but I do have a bunch of pictures from last years Mustang Mania...I gather that it was the largest single marque get together this side of Ontario.

I still have a few things to do. Presently, I am looking for that best online mustang parts company in Canada. I like daSilva racing but they do not have a catelogue or a web site with pictures...or is it still better to buy stateside ?

I just discovered this site. Glad I did.

A few pics

I should have polished it like the keeners that were doing it in the parking lot but I was having fun gawking at the early fastbacks.

Wow, that is quite the story behind that. I'm glad every thing turned out for the good.

Thanks-you. Yes, I am truly lucky to have married my best friend. As for the health thing, it is still an upward battle but whe I go outside to look at the 'stang, it truly is a great feeling.

I have two links for the '08 Mustang Mania show. How could I past them so all cam see..there are some lovely cars on display.

Nice car. Love the side pipes. I know a guy who has them on his Stang and they sound sick.

Thanks so much folks..

In the old days, all brit cars would wave..I started to do that with every 'stang that I encountered..the nice thing is that most wave back :)

I hope I can be a positive presense here...

..almost 5 more months 'till it is out of storage..

Why five months? Three at the most !

MustangMan02 01-10-2009 08:14 PM

You could be right..but the famers almanic says we are in for a long winter. Before I drive the 'stang, I like to see all the salt off the road whuich means we need a big rain....however, if we can get some of that global warming down here, we can be on the road sooner

MustangMan02 & whitev6 ..do you guts belong to the nsmc and do you go to any of the shows ?

whitev6 01-11-2009 07:54 AM

Yes I normally do if not working or busy as well as trying to get to the Wednesday cruise in Dartmouth if I can .

Grassy 01-11-2009 08:24 AM

Where do they start in dartmouth and at what time ?

whitev6 01-11-2009 12:06 PM

Normally on Wednesday nights from the parking lot besides John's lunch , beside the ferry terminal and the about 07:00 head out for a cruise and coffee . I hope to see you there once the spring hits , my mustang is actually a black convertible I wrote of the white v6 in dec/07 . Enjoy the snow. Des

Havent been to any of the shows yet and am not part of the NSMC. Would like to join though. The reason Ive been to none of the shows is because this past year has been bad for the stang, but now shes painted and ready to go

Grassy 01-11-2009 01:10 PM

Awesome. Unfortunately, they do not have a web site so communication is done through a newsletter so yiu will know where all the meets are..and they have a cool jacket :)

MustangMan02 01-11-2009 01:36 PM

So how do I sign up? What are the monthly fees and whatnot?

Grassy 01-11-2009 02:04 PM

When I follow the links of the NSMC it ends with a page not gound..

Actually, I cannot remember how much the dues are....I think myabe @ 30 dollars and the only place I know to sign up is at one of the car shows. That is how I did it. You can buy regalia there as well.

Sorry I couldn't be much of a help..perhaps someone else ?
