Hi from L. Mainland of BC

Hi there all

I'm not a Mustang owner yet, but I'm saving up for one, and there should be one in the garage probably late next year. I'm 47 and have always wanted a Mustang.

Fords are definitely in the blood - My first car was a '78 Ford Fiesta S, I then briefly had a '82 Capri with an inline 6, Dad had a '72 Galaxy wagon (400 V8), and a '73 Mercury Meteor(351C).

And, I currently own a Nissan NX2000 with over 300,000kms, I'm about to be junking a '92 Aerostar with nearly 400,000kms and I currently have a '05 Ford Freestar.

Welcome aboard and good luck with the Pony hunt. My Dad only ever owned one new car and it was a 1972 Ford Ranch Wagon with the 400. I still remember going to the dealership to pick up the car all those years ago.

It is a fever once you get behind the wheel of a Mustang....the feeling is very hard to discribe.

Welcome and what kinda stang are you looking for?

A '92 Aerostar ... damn, didn't think those things were still around. You must've maintained it pretty good LOL!
Welcome aboard.

Well, if I get one sooner, rather than later, a 2005-09 GT with Auto. If I'm patient and wait, a 2011-? with a V6 to have my cake (performance) and eat it too (gas economy). Auto is a must because my Mrs. will have to drive it, and she's helping with the savings plan...:D I would love a glass roofed one (09 and above) but who knows.

:) Ours was an ex-lease 1972 Ford Country Squire wagon in that Green color so popular in the 70's. Bought it from Avis in 1973. Dad did eventually buy a brand new '75 Maverick because of the energy crisis! And my first car I bought new was a 1987 VW Fox. Then I bought new my '92 NX 2000 which I still have - the Mustang will replace it.

Yep - if can be all yours if you give me > $300 (the scrap value). No one would buy it when the price was $900. High Mileage but the body is in excellent shape. Just that no one's buying, but I can't say I blame them! Oh well - it's outta here Monday and off to the crusher. Too bad...had it 8 years and about 100,000kms of the 340,000 were mine.

Anyway, hope to help with my knowledge of old cars, and also glean lots of knowledge to make sure I find the right 'Stang.

Thanks again
