I'm NEW to CMOC
Hey everyone... I notice many familiar usernames here.
Just saying HI and looking forward to being an active member here. I'm just in the process of doing a ground up build of a 1992 Mustang Coupe (http://www.1badride.com/projects/stang) which started life as a 2.3L and is now being converted to a 5.0. Soon after that, it will be turbocharged! Looking forward to seeing you all in the upcoming season! BTW - I scored that coupe for $800 certified and e-tested! Take a look at the pics - UNBELEIVABLE! Even the original factory writing (that yellow marker they use) with the original production date is written on the underside of the hood! One owner! <80,000km! |

I recall seeing that car last spring, it was a very, very nice car. :tup |
hey man welcome to the board! :tup
i hope you dont mind but i just posted a pic up for you so that everyone can see your car without going to the site. looks like its in good shape!! so is it still a 4 banger or has it been swapped to a v8? http://www.1badride.com/projects/stang/stang003.jpg looks like the last owner or maybe you took good care of it http://www.1badride.com/projects/stang/stang011.jpg |
Yeah, I was out a LOT in the Z. Man, I miss that car a LOT. Had to sell it due to insurance costs. My last quote was $10,000/yr.
BUT things have cleared up. I'm really dissapointed with the new Corvette - and very impressed with the new Mustang. We'll have to see what happens late in the year when my insurance rating goes back to normal. :cry2: I didn't post the images up because they're HUUUUUGE! The car is already being stripped down completely. Full length frame connectors (welded) are going on this week, and I'm blasting the underside with Rhino lining (truck bed liner). I'm getting every panel and every hinge aligned perfectly and then paint (Black). While that is being done, I will be painting the engine and other components (and/or chrome). I'll keep posting with updates as they go. I have already secured a complete 5.0 driveline with some moderate upgrades. I also secured a complete set of cobra brakes (5-bolt). Thanks for the comments! |
right on man! :tup sounds like you have alot of good plans for the car!

Don't worry, I kept the turbo setup. I'll get another Vette soon. For now, until my insurance returns to normal, I am going to boost the mustang and play with that. |

http://www.download.com/IrfanView/30...ml?tag=lst-0-1 It's a great litte program and you can resize images quickly and easily. Once you install Irfran, open your image (File>Open) and then resize (Image>Resize/Resample). A good size for web images is 600x400 or smaller and save them as a GIF not a JPG. :tup |
