Hey everyone. New to the forums here. I'm picking up my first Mustang today.

2009 Mustang Base 4.0L, 5 speed manual. I believe it has what is called the "pony package".

Picking it up used from a dealership here in Calgary. Been a long time since I've driven a standard, but, being a truck driver, doesn't take long to come back to me.

I say joining the dark side because for many years I've been a Dodge guy, owned a few Rams over the years, and love them. Always wanted a Mustang however.

Project: F.R.I.D.A.Y. is what I will be calling her, as the color is what I like to call Iron Man Red. I've been a huge Iron Man fan for many years, and already am planning on adding some gold racing stripes and various other visual modifications to give it that Iron Man feel.

Not sure exactly what time I will be picking up the car today, but here are a couple of pictures I snapped quickly last friday when I test drove it. Sorry they are sideways.

Welcome. I also have a base V6 stick. Mine is an '07. There are a few of us 4.0 owners here. The 4.0 responds very well to modifications if you're into that sort of thing.

 

Yeah, I will probably do the basics. CAI, Exhaust, Tuner. Very happy with how it responds as is though. Will mainly focus on giving it the right look.
