my frist mustang

This is my first mustang i have owned there is some of body work to be done and a paint job, it has an inline 6. I would like suggestions on what to do for performance and what color i should paint it, and if I should put a body kit on it.

right now its a light yellow and its a 1981 mustang, I'm thinking a red, black, blue or darker yellow.

I would go black you can't go wrong with black, specially if the interior is black, and performance wise, rip out that straight six and put a v8 in her, but if you have no funds for that then i am not sure on what to do performance wise with a straight 6 sorry.

Does the six have EFI or carbed if it is carbed you can do wonders with a striaght six and custom intakes and headers kinda hard to find Perf parts for but they can be made fairly strong. Dont under estimate the power of a six. If you want to follow main stream then pull the six and replace with V8.
