New Here
I'm an old car guy, never been a time in my life that I didn't have a hobby car or truck in addition to the daily driver. I have an '80 Camaro and a 1995 Mustang convertible. I enjoy auto flea markets swap meets and genera auto memorabilia. I do pretty much all my own work, service my vehicles and enjoy time in the shop puttering around. I certainly enjoy the convertible in the nice weather. My first car was a '63 Mercury convertible and I have always wanted another convert. I have put 2005 Bullit wheels on my '95, it looks awesome. I have been involved with hockey for 40 years and still am on the executive and a fund raiser for the Exeter Hawks Junior c OHA team. We spend March in Florida where I look for parts and car shows

Welcome Mudlite. I too am an old car guy and will be spending March in FL. Not sure where you stay in FL but if you are a car guy and ever get to Naples, check out the REVS Institute. It's a huge private collection of notable cars including the largest racing Porsche collection aside from the Porsche museum in Stuttgart. They even have a couple of GT40's Take the tour. Google it.

Hi Mad Mike. I go by Mike as well ! We are close to Orlando near the junction of 4 and 17, very close to Kissimee. My buddy and I go over to Naples to catch the Swamp Buggy races every year. We used to stay in Naples a few years back off of Wiltshire Lakes road. Nice area !
|
Ha. Swamp buggy races. Been to them a few times. I we are there when they're racing we don't miss the event. Now, want to hear something weird? We purchased a condo with our daughter and son-in-law in Wilshire Lakes just off Vanderbilt Beach Rd.
|
MadMike 53..what a coincidence, we stayed in Wilshire Lakes off Vanderbilt, past the guard house and I believe the first street left..Stone House maybe..its a beauty area. We were out walking one morning and a huge Bobcat crossed the street in front of us..not the least bit scared...great spot

@Mudlite - Fieldstone. The whole area has really built up in the last 2 years. Two new high rise seniors residences between Wilshire Dr and Livingston Rd. Three new housing projects in the same block as Wilshire Pines. Incredible development east. Real estate prices about where they were before the crash.
|
Fieldstone it is ! Just couldn't remember !
