Hi all from Etobicoke (west Toronto). I’m in the process of purchasing an Ecoboost convertible. Will be a 2018 if my guy can find one equipped as I want, otherwise I will order a 2019. Wasn’t happy that the Highland Green is Bullitt only apparently.
I’ve been a car guy since I was a kid. My oldest brother had Studebakers and still has his ‘63 Hawk, built in Hamilton with the R2 supercharged engine, which he bought in 1970. I’ve generally had British cars over the years starting with a couple of original Minis, a ‘75 MG Midget and the last being an ‘80 Triumph TR8, which was actually a wonderfully modern car, although severely under-tired, and happily kept up to traffic on the highway. In fact, on occasion I had the opportunity to show my tail to those BMW drivers who like to come up behind and expect you to get out of their way. I would just press the go peddle and the little V8 would just pick up and go, no downshift required.
i started looking at something old initially but eventually decided that I would get something that I could drive every day and enjoy. I considered a Challenger as well but my wife thought I should have a convertible again. I was a little concerned about the seats being a bit tight for us but they fit so here we are.
