Thanks! I really like the look as well, though there seems to be a love/hate relationship with the rims out there. I love the look, but some people hate them. Different strokes for different folks.

There are some unique features to the California Special - the interior & seats are different from other packages, and the GT/CS lettering is stitched into the leather. It's subtle & pleasing - if you're just casually looking inside the car, it's easy to miss. Suede back & bottom, with the outside of the seats in regular leather. The rims are also unique to the California Special, but I suppose anyone could order a set and have them put on. Striping is different, there's a plaque on the dash, and a tag under the hood proclaiming what it is. Not sure why, but California Special models only have the 3.55 ratio differential, and you cannot have the performance package if you opt for the California Special. This is fine by me, as I won't be drag racing, or doing acceleration trials. The 3.55 differential will yield slightly better fuel economy (doesn't matter, as this car wasn't purchased with fuel economy in mind). There's probably a few other minor differences, but to the best of my knowledge, they're all cosmetic. California Specials have the same hardware as found on regular GT Premiums.

If I get a chance this weekend, I'll clean the car & snap way better photos with a real camera. My cell phone camera isn't the greatest.
