Speedometer conversion

I am a 66 year old guy who is experiencing male menopause or a midlife crisis or whatever so I bought a 1966 Mustang coach in Iowa last week,
The speedometer is in Miles per hour. Anyone know how to get it converted to Kilometers per hour?

Welcome to the site man - congratulations on your "new" Mustang. I can understand the reasoning behind it, but why would you want to mess with the factory look by changing the speedo to km/hr? That mph thing is what you got back in the day, personally I wouldn't mess with it, just do your basic conversions for day to day - 30mph (50 km/hr) in the city and 60 mph (100 km/hr) on the highway. Keep that bad boy stock and let's see some pictures!!! lol

You could always get a GPS unit and set it on the dash. Then you could switch to the units you prefer. I travel a lot in the US and this works for me.

No offense, but at age 66 wouldn't you still be thinking in mph anyway, since that's what you grew up with? I'm 44, and was growing up during the changeover to metric. I've never had any problem with my older cars looking at the mph speedo and doing the mental calculation to know that I'm not speeding (by much).

cheers
