Ah crap. We left Calgary after 16 years and I am trying anything to get back. Where are you residing in lovely Cowtown? Geez I purchased a 90 Gt loaded from Maclin way back when (Glendeer Automall) for 18,000.00 fully loaded-employee price. Just bought an 05Gt with custom paint for 39,000.00 employee price. Inflation I guess They sure have changed the roads around the dealership in the last few years. My wife and I visited Calgary this past April.

I'm in the SW in Oakridge, yea there has been a lot of construction around glendeer circle. Well there has been a lot of construction every where for that matter It kill's me

 

I dream of Calgary every day. I worked at Southern Trucking for 5 years and know Calgary like the back of my hand. We had a house built in the north part of Calgary, when we return we will purchase a condo in Vic Park or Cliff Bungalow. After our wedding we lived at 505-19 Ave S.W. for the first 5 years, what a great time. I bounced (back then I was a healthy 250 lbs) at the old Highlander Hotel on 16th Ave N.W. a watering hole for the Hells Angels circa 1990-92. That was an interesting time. I see it's now a Home Depot, crap. The area around the Red Mile has a special place in my memory, and some days that's all I can think about. Once our house is sold, here we come Calgary. Oakridge is west of 14th St between 90 and Southland I believe but it's been 6 years, am I close.
