Would you be able to post a picture of a car with the film applied to it? I might be interested in this for the wifes Nissan.

_Red_Rocket_ 03-09-2010 01:56 PM

does anyone know how much and where to get the 3M film from? I need some for just my front bumper, but don't need/want to pay someone to do it for me.

VAEM 03-09-2010 04:21 PM

Ummmm .... Uhhhhh, I believe the idea of this thread is to get you to have the work done at KrownLakeshore .... Supporting our sponsors supports our site. Besides, it doesn't sound like you've ever applies the film before - just me but I wouldn't practice on my front bumper having never done it before.

SNAKEBITE 03-09-2010 09:28 PM

^^^Agreed^^.Nice specials I must say. Oh to Lakeshore, do you have tinted headlight film?

KrownLakeshore 03-10-2010 07:58 AM

thanks guys,
we try our best to offer you the best product along with the best service out there.
as mentioned, bumpers are the hardest parts to apply, other then complete wrap of hoods, doors and fenders and etc.
we have been doing this for about 16 years, and a complete bumper still takes about 3 hours to finish on most cars.

snakebite, for tinted headlight film, we do not have anything like that at this point.
cheers,

i realize that, but I was just looking for the tape, and didn't think a new thread was needed. I'm not going from london to toronto/lakeshore to get the lip of my bumper taped -- I'm not taping the whole bumper, i want to just cover the lip as it obviously bottoms out a lot as you can imagine from the picture below

I know theres, other products out there, like;
Racers Tape Products
but I would use the 3M stuff if I can find it. And it's really not that hard... it's tape ;). It's pretty hard to it up... and not too hard to unfix if you somehow do.

I honestly wouldn't know. That's why I'd get Krown Lakeshore to do it. :tup

p.s. Nice car by the way. It does look great.

How good is this stuff in long term? Will stones/rocks,ects chip tear it?
Does it stick to metal aswell.I would like to do the front bumper of my F 150.The fresh paint on it already has a few chips.....:banghead:

Nice GT _Red_Rocket_ :tup.Haven't seen your GT around London before.

KrownLakeshore 03-11-2010 07:47 AM

as an owner of a pick up myself, no it can not be applied to any chrome/metal pieces.
painted surfaces only.

you get life time warranty against, peeling, yellowing, bubbling,
we see our customers cars and some of our own that have been done 10 years ago, and they still look the exact same way.

hope that helps.

cheers,
Igor P.,
