Carlisle Ford Nationals
Anyone ever gone? I always watch highlights on the car channels. Always wanted to go. I wonder how many of us would be down for a 600km+ road trip? Would be nice to represent the North.

Been a few times with FastEd. Nice to go to a HUGE show that isn't filled with nasty chebbies. Swap meet is all Ford and often you see some VERY rare Ford stuff like SOHC/Weslake and Indy parts. Saw a lot of Ford prototypes and show cars too. There is pretty much something for everyone from tame/restos to weird and wild.
My biggest beef is often that weekend is cold crappy weather or smoking hot. Wish it was a bit later in the summer as hot is preferable! |
3500 k's for me so WAY to far. Anything more than 50-60 k's is too far

Great show. Long drive. No liquor in that state.

There are dry counties in PA, but not all of them. I've certainly hoisted more than a few brewskis in the Hotel Carlisle parking lot.
Great show that any Ford enthusiast should check out at least once if they are within a day's drive. cheers Ed N. |
If it was 600 km I would go for sure. I'm about in the same boat as Snakebite though.

Not so, beer outlets and a liquor store 5 minutes from our hotel.
