Lightbulb Rimbey Alberta

Here is an update if anyone is interested. its 1.50 hrs from Edmonton or Calgary

Drag Strip Construction Update - January 2012

2011 was a very productive year for the CAR Drag Strip, thanks to the hard work of many individuals the drag strip base work has been completed. The drag strip elevations are above engineer design and significant work has been completed to expand and enhance the drainage to the entire facility. In the spring we'll all have our fingers crossed as the snow melts confirming correct water run-off grades. Afterwards the final seal can be put on the base work as the committee engages local companies to provide the finish paving and concrete work! If all goes according to plan we should be having our annual shoot-outs on the 1/4 mile drag strip in July.

Many thanks goes out to everyone involved in the design and construction of our 1/4 mile drag strip.

It would be great to have a mustang day here or mustang vs camaro day

Here is an email from C.A.R.
All in good humor .... but sounds like a challange to me

"The volunteer committee is working hard towards having our first 1/4 mile drag race this year. However with the uncertainty of weather conditions, volunteer support and financing a grand opening date has not benn selected.

www.caraceways.ca has a artist rendition of what the final facility will look like. I don't have any construction pictures as of yet however as i get them and post them to our website you're more than welcome to reuse the pictures to promote the track.

A Mustang vs Camaro day sounds interesting although there might be several depressed Mustang drivers staring at Camaro taillights

Thanks for you support, stay tuned to www.caraceways.ca for updates.
