Anyone heading to Cayuga this Saturday/Sunday for OSCA?

I will be heading to Cayuga for test and tune on Saturday as per normal and to watch some good ole OSCA drag racing. :tup I will go Sunday if weather is no good for Saturday.

Who else is heading down to Cayuga on Saturday or Sunday?

White_Snake 09-19-2005 01:06 PM

where is Cayuga?
last 4 test and tunes have been rained out here in shannonville, so i might be up for it if it aint far away.

smellycat20 09-19-2005 01:23 PM

I'm hoping to go on Saturday .....hopefully weather will hold up this time around

slow5.0 09-19-2005 01:27 PM

I will be there on Sunday. After breaking the last time I went, I will be trailed down this time. My friend has a new Dodge dually and a 24' enclosed trailer he is going to take the car down (I know it's a little shooter for a 12 second street car buy hey y not).

kaylan1521 09-19-2005 01:38 PM

Yeah, I'll be there. I will be running in the 11.90 index class this time. Saturday after the qualifying a couple more Bullitts will be heading down for some T&T fun after 5pm. One of them will be Wayne with his shiney new rear end due to the last time he launched there.

They are forecasting rain for Saturday right now but maybe by then it'll be gone. Either way I'll be there both days.

gfong 09-19-2005 01:49 PM

Good to hear, yes the ole rain. I will go like mentioned on Sat and rain day will be Sunday, Hope to see you all their. and to those in the classes good luck and giverrrr :tup

5PointOHNO 09-19-2005 03:22 PM

I'll be there on sunday.

kaylan1521 09-21-2005 08:13 AM

Good news. Saturdays forecast has changed to SUNNY and 18 degrees. With the sticky Cayuga track sounds like a good day for new best times.

Mach1Chris 09-25-2005 11:17 AM

it was a good day... good to finally meet you greg.

i ran on my new rims/tires to see how much they slow me down because of the extra weight.

the conclusion:
the extra traction makes up for the extra weight, not making any difference in 60' or 1/4' mile times and trap speeds.

the prediction:
drag radials next time so gfong doesn't beat me by barely a car length :P

gfong.. did you get any better times after i left?

Nice to meet you also Chris. Your rims look good, the pics do not show how good they do look.

Of course I got faster, lol I can bulshite now that you were not their to see. lol Just kidding, Best of the day was a 13.106 @ 105.18 that was at 6 pm and than I ran three other times and got slower. :( The pic guy never got us together, I checked before I left. A total of 4 Machs were their on Saturday, guess what, all red. lol

Ford quote, " Were only gonna make 6500 Mach1's" Hmmmmmmmm......

Too bad you could not stay longer. Still I had fun and really good to meet you. Like mentioned we should try and get a group to go up before the season end. Put your drag radials on also. :)

Sorry I missed everyone on Saturday I went on Sunday.

I got the car to hook harder, I went a 1.76 60 foot, but for some reason my times were off.
12.75 @ 108.32 1.82 60'
12.81 @ 107.03 1.78 60'
12.79 @ 106.66 1.76 60'

The 1st pass I launched @ 3000 and the car bogged(wow 1st time it did that), the next 2 times I left @ 3500 (still a small bog). I went for a 4th pass but I left the trac control on and the car stalled in the burnout :bleh: :banghead: I was going to try 4000 but with out a good burnout I just drove out at 2000 to a 13.01 @ 105mph.

On a happier note I took the stripe on all of the passes(2 against a 383 ls1 ram air, fast intake, with slicks :deal:  ).

My car just wont give me that 12.5 on a drag radial :cry2:

Cool pic I found from Sat. Look 2 Red Mach's

Got down there Saturday too, first time since grenading my diff. Had a slow start to the night; but, finally broke back in to the 12's with a 12.995 :tup

Had some good 60' times, just couldn't seem to get the top end out of it.

Mach1Chris 09-26-2005 11:34 AM

I bogged big time launching at 3k a few weeks back on the all day T&T. Nice times though!

On another note, that's gfong launching and me in the background! :) The guy was trying to let us run together but the dude in front of me broke or something and i got stuck waiting :(

Nice run Wayne.

How did Paul end up in the class on Sunday? Tough finding any type of results at the OSCA site. :( Supose to be posted tonight. :)

I was taken out in the first round. I got to the line, staged, and as I usually do Revved the car to around 6k it started to roll. I let off the gas tapped the braked as the lights came down. Basically lost it on the R/T .054 to my .201 . The whole run I was at his door handle, I couldn't gain and he couldn't pull away. I'll definitely be doing more OSCA events next year.

Right on about the more OSCA. :tup too bad you got all messed at the start line. Your car was running strong on Saturday. Take care and may see you out at Cayuga again before the track shuts down!
