first time with the cobra.
well lots of wheel hop :banghead: these runs were all at idle, need to work
on my r/t and my 60ft. best was 2.40 :cry2: missed a few gears  best mph 111.14. anyways had a good time  need to fix the the wheelhop  5 runs,4 were 13.XX |
Practice makes perfect dude, on those Cobras you gotta slip the clutch just right, don't worry about r/t for now, it has no effect on e/t anyway, just practice. :chacha:
Btw, I can't read your timeslips. |
click on the time slip twice ? sorry about that
well best time was 13.43 at 111.14mph, 60ft was 2.44 :bleh:  |
Still can't see it, judging by your mph, you should easily be running high 12s, you really need to practice your driving/shifting, what are you shifting at? Your 60ft. isn't that bad for an irs Cobra on street tires, your problem is most likely shift points. Biz will probably have some pointers for you.

problem is wheelhop. first gear forgetaboutit,to much wheelhop,so i would
shift at 3500 or 4000rpm then 3rd,4th at 6700 rpm ? |
good stuff,
what were you racing against? a tricycle, 18.99 :laughhard |

thanks for the tips :tup |

With the full bushing kit, and the shocks say goodbye to wheel hop. Click Here for a writeup on a complete bushing install you really only need some Drag radials...that will eliminate most of your wheel hop, I have zero wheel hop with M/T drag radials and I changed the IRS diff bushings...that and lots of practice.... you need to launch off idle with these cars...any amount of RPM and your toast... not bad for you first time..keep it at and it will get better. :tup |

I had crazy wheel hop before, so bad I had to replace the half shafts 2X now...so I know what your talking about...but the d/r's made the biggest diff. |
Were you racing a black Cobra on Sunday at Cayuga?

Actually we were all wondering what the hell you were doing, lol.. first time out, that makes sense. I bet if you didn't launch off idle you would be pulling alot better times, but we figured you wanted to baby your car :) |

Man... that's rough
|
no extra noise from diff bushings...maybe if you went with solid bushings
