Anyways you get your brakes figured out?

I put new rear shoes on it and adjusted them up, I think they were out of adjustment before, couldnt see anything else wrong with it. I also put my 7 inch wide welds back on the front with wider tires. No one else is goin down?

I'll be going down too, a freind of mine is taking his 95 Neon for it's maiden voyage to the strip. I'll probably make a pass or two in it as well. Maybe I'll line it up with you Jody, after you take the blower belt off... :).

How's the '81 coupe doing?

the blower belt is stayin on LOL, havnt done much with the 81 yet, I got it running, runs great.Im still collecting parts for it, might be out next year might not, might change my mind and sell it all who knows LOL.

Heh, we'll add some C16 and crank the Neon up to 25 psi then LOL!

It sure could be a nice car, and a great 1/4 miler! Mustangs are bad for that, buy two or three, fiddle with them a bit - then sell the whole works off!! (BTW thanks for the various refferals on mustang parts, the hood guy, Welds etc..)

Which Neon were you guys runnin, I saw a couple. What a joke that track was next year on Lucksville night Im stayin home and drinking beer. They had NO track prep, NO sighns to see what everyone was running, you did get a slip somtimes but it had NO 1/8 times on it, NO water in the burnout box and it was $25 to race instead of the normal $20. Dave did well though he went 10.001 at 138 on a 150 shot.

Dave went 10-flat? HOLY !!!!!!!!!! I cannot fathom going that fast at the "Cow Path".

well I hate to tell you guys that I seen the time slips at Daves house today. And he didnt run 10 flat.. 9.94 at 146 was his best and it was a 1.2 {I THINK} 60 foot.but he ran like 15 times and his avaerage was prob 10.3. he ran once to prove a point.. and the ppl who were there know what im talkin about. but he didnt even try he got a 3 second 60 foot no burn out and idled it down the track and still did 97 mph in the 1/4

Holy he ran a 97 MPH on the slow run he did? LOL I bet it took him like 18 sec that pass! If he would have went he would have won! 100%

i keep tellin him he would but someday... actually the idle run was about as fast as a honda at 16 somthin

He did get a 9 out it, good for him I was just goin by the slip I had when I raced him. I bet he s hooked on the jug now LOL

It was the white '95 sport with the blacked out "crab" wheels. It's got a '04 SRT-4 motor swapped in with a Holset turbo. Basically stock engine with the Holset, no tune on the fuel yet, he went 13.4 @ 110 on the all season radials :), he only got two runs in, and the second one there was rain on the track.

we were down at his place saturday night and hooked... already heading for the 9.5 quarter time... I dont know where he is going to stop..

His was the white notch with the black hood, it went 11.7 with a 1.84 60' not bad for an N/A windsor with 3 55 gears. Should go mid low 11s with some more seat time.

Yep close, mines runnin 11.4's consitantly with an 11.2 best, its a heavy pig though 3450 with me in it. He was thinking about a 150 shot, but it has hyper. pistons in it so he s a little leary. Great trap speeds with the Neon, get some sticky tires on that thing and it ll fly.

Should be ok with a 150 shot with hypereutectics, guys blow/spray the 93+ stangs with hypers in 'em all the time, just make sure not to rattle it :).

Should be mid 12's with traction. He's putting in an LSD and getting slicks, a wide band, and likely a megasquirt - and I'm trying to convince him to get a methanol injection kit on top of all that. Those are the winter projects - and hoping for 11's next year.
