Yeah they work alright, only problem is you are still rockin a neon  I do miss my old 5.0 and my 88 RX7 with a complete 93 5.0 mustang driveline. I picked a 95 neon 2dr do to the srt swap because of a few reasons, 1.the insurance companys pay you to drive them around:biggrin: 2. they are dirt cheap and cheap to fix 3.2400lbs

I wanna see if my stang will to 13's lol

Ahhh, pass on the cage. Last time I was at Shannonville there was no tech at all. Just pay and head straight for the staging lanes. Also, you should know what your car runs first, you don't need any extra weight in that tank unless you absolutely need it... Even more so if it hardly ever goes to the track (again, regarding the cage).

If I were you I'd get an 8 rib set-up on there, and go run and see where you're at - then spend the money where it's most needed.

350 ft-lbs and AWD, it's an awesome stoplight stomper. Alas, the party ends pretty quick once the speeds climb. I'm trying to sell it, but if I can't I may well put an MSII V3.0 on it and turbocharge it. There is a guy on "turboforums" (aka turbomustangs.com) with a stock shortblock 5.9 (Dakota R/T) turbocharged just shy of 600 RWHP - that'd fix the top-end charge problems I reckon... :)

Pile of parts cars are like that, I've never been able to worry people with my pile'o'parts cars either. For some reason folks don't feel too threatened no matter how fast I say it'll go. In fact, I was so disenchanted with the lack of respect my pile'o'parts car received, that I decided to just sell the entire pile and buy a running vehicle.

'Course, I'm still not worrying anyone with that either...

The Mopar 2.4 also seems to be one of the tougher "off the shelf" large displacement 4 cylinders out there. No sleeves required, and a stock SRT rotating will happily hold together north of 500WHP.

I can vouch from personal experience on this little Neon, it seems to make power well beyond what the parts list suggests... It's damn impressive for what little has been done to it. I'd bet good money it's an 11 second car as it sits now - just by adding slicks (and the slicks are ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED!!:))
