200 cu in inline six value?
I am going to pull out the 200 inline six cylinder motor and transmission from my 1966 Mustang Hardtop.
I want to sell it, but I dont know how much to ask for it. It was running and is fairly clean. Can anyone tell me the value? |
I'm thinking maybe $300 - $500 tops ... not a huge demand for these obviously, unless you find someone who wants that specific drivetrain for a proper restoration.

Is that for just the engine or with the tranmission?
|
For both ... I may be way off base, but from what I've seen there isn't a lot of demand out there. Those engines were very simple and reliable, and more likely to have a lived an easier life than a V8 in a Mustang. So there aren't a lot of people with dead ones looking for a replacement. And of course if the 6 banger does die, for some people that's an excuse for a V8 swap. :D

Thanks, I am going to pull it and list it anyway. Try and sell it to someone who will use it. What ever I get for it will help pay for the V8 that I want to put in?

^^^that's the right way of thinking
